Preparing pupils for the Kent Test with confidence

The Kent Test is one of the most significant assessments your child will face, and the quality of their preparation matters enormously. Our 11+ group tuition programme is built around one simple principle: every child in the room deserves expert attention. That is why we cap every session at a maximum of 8 pupils and place two qualified, experienced teachers in every session — not one.

With a 2:8 teacher-to-pupil ratio, your child will never be lost in a crowd. Our teachers can identify gaps in understanding in real time, provide immediate feedback, and adapt the pace of the session to the needs of the group. This is group tuition that genuinely feels personal.

Weekly after-school sessions run from November in Herne Bay, covering all four areas of the Kent Test: verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths and English. In addition, we offer dedicated half-term revision sessions and timed exam practice sessions — giving pupils the structured rehearsal and exam-condition experience they need to walk into the test feeling calm and prepared.

Maximum 8 pupils per session

Strictly capped at 8 children per group. Every pupil is seen, heard, and supported — no child gets left behind or overlooked.

Two qualified teachers — always

Every single session has two experienced, qualified teachers in the room. A 2:8 ratio means real-time feedback, immediate support, and genuinely high-quality teaching throughout.

Full Kent Test coverage

Targeted preparation for the GL Assessment-style Kent Test across all four areas: verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths and English — structured, progressive and purposeful.

Half-term revision sessions

Why our approach gets results

Two teachers, not one

Most group tuition puts one adult in a room with 10, 12, or even 15 children. We put two qualified teachers with a maximum of 8. That means one teacher can lead the session while the other circulates, checks understanding, and provides quiet support to any child who needs it — in real time, not at the end of the lesson.

Small enough to be personal

With only 8 pupils in the group, our teachers know every child by name, know their strengths, and know where they need to push harder. Progress is tracked session by session, and parents receive updates on how their child is developing.

Exam practice built in

Knowing the content is only half the battle. Our timed exam practice sessions build the speed, stamina and composure children need to perform under pressure. By the time the Kent Test arrives, the format will feel familiar and manageable.

Half-term intensives

School holidays are valuable preparation time. Our half-term revision sessions give pupils focused, extended practice to consolidate what they have learned and tackle any areas of difficulty before the next term begins.
